Eilean Donan Castle
We leave Tyndrum and make our way through Glen Coe, Glen Garry and Glen Shiel to Eilean Donan Castle, where we have an included tour. One of the most iconic and photographed of Scotland’s castles, it has a long and violent history and was restored in its present form in the early 20th century. In the afternoon we continue to the Muthu Newton Hotel in Nairn where we stay for the next 3 nights.
Inverness & Loch Ness Cruise
After breakfast we head along the shores of Loch Ness, where we have an included 1-hour cruise on Loch Ness. Remember to have your cameras handy should the Loch Ness Monster make an appearance! In the afternoon, we head to Inverness, the capital of the Highlands, for a free afternoon. The Old Town features 19th-century Inverness Cathedral, the mostly 18th-century Old High Church and an indoor Victorian Market selling food, clothing and crafts. The contemporary Inverness Museum and Art Gallery traces local and Highland history.
Elgin & Baxters Highland Village
For four generations, the Baxter family have been producing some of the UK's finest soups, preserves, condiments, beetroot, chutneys and a wide range of other fine quality food products. Travel back in time in the original grocery store and browse their famous foods and recipes including the popular Audrey Baxter range.
Pitlochry & Loch Tay
Today we head south to Pitlochry, one of Scotland's most popular resorts. A handsome stone-built town known for its theatre and fish-ladder, Pitlochry came to prominence as a result of the railway and Queen Victoria's doctor advising people that Pitlochry air was good for their health. We enjoy some free time for a spot of lunch and to explore the town and attractions. We overnight at the Muthu Ben Doran Hotel in Tyndrum.
Your tour includes Dinner, Bed & Breakfast and excursions and entry fees, as stated.
